Have you ever attempted to contact a business on Facebook, only to be ignored? Well, it is extremely frustrating for customers.
As a business, you should want your customers to be able to contact you as easy, efficiently, and effectively as possible. After all, communication is key.
So if you are not committed to checking the messages on your Facebook page often AND responding to customer inquires, then the best business practice would be to disable the option on your page.
Didn’t know that was an option? Well you’re in luck, here’s how:
First, you have to be an administrator on the page, as that is the only setting that can change the message option.
Click "Settings" at the top left of your Facebook Page.
Click to uncheck the box next to "Allow People to contact my Page privately by showing the message" button.
There, it is as simple as that. Now, your customers will not be frustrated with the lack of attention or response after sending you a message!
